AVAC also invests though a funding consortium.
AVAC has formed an alliance with fifteen other funding organizations to create the Agricultural Funding Consortium, which provides a one-window research and development application process. This approach was designed to give individual projects or initiatives more exposure to a greater number of potential funding organizations. In doing so, a greater coverage of the research and development continuum is achieved to help fund priority projects.
The Funding Consortium partners include:
Alberta Agricultural Research Institute (AARI)
Alberta Crop Industry Development Fund (ACIDF)
Alberta Livestock Industry Development Fund (ALIDF)
Diversified Livestock Fund of Alberta (DLFOA) - Email Link
Agriculture and Food Council (AGFC)
Climate Change Central (CCC)
Alberta Barley Commission (ABarleyC)
Alberta Pulse Growers Commission (APGC)
Alberta Canola Producers Commission (ACPC)
Alberta Chicken Producers (ACP)
Alberta Milk (AM)
Alberta Pork (AP)
Alberta Egg Producers (AEP)
Potato Growers of Alberta (PGA)
Alberta Beekeepers (ABee)
