The Global and Domestic Business Environments for 2012
Come and hear renowned globe and Mail National Affairs columnist, winner of all three of Canada’s leading literary prizes, Officer of the Order of Canada and the author of 8 books, Jeffrey Simpson. Jeffrey will discuss his thoughts on the fact that an economic recovery is clearly underway in Canada, the United States and elsewhere. But with the Canadian currency at or near par, some Canadian regions and industries benefit while others are hurt. And then there is the U.S. budgetary deficit that is out of control. There remain, therefore, considerable uncertainties for the Canadian economy in 2012.
