Read more about the Government of Alberta's plans to expand the IVAC Capacity Builder Program. Alberta is building on the success of its economy and its flourishing high-tech sector. Building and growing knowledge-based companies is important to Alberta's ongoing success in the new global economy. Our Action Plan will assist Alberta entrepreneurs in getting more of their ideas off the research bench and into consumers' hands. It builds on our strength in the advanced technology sectors of clean energy, information and communications technology, life sciences and nanotechnology with a wide range of coordinated actions. From tax credits to venture capital, the actions provide a supportive environment for companies to grow and become successful in world markets. It's a package that's good for Alberta businesses and good for investors and includes nine actions within four theme areas.
